Newborn Photography

So as you know we are doing advanced camera training this month, and this week we focused on newborn photography! I wanted to share some pictures from the photo shoot I did today, this baby girl came in with this adorable tutu and I spent an hour with her, trying to nail the perfect lighting, angles and focus. And I’m really happy with the way they came out!

Love Is In The Air

Happy Valentines Day!  For the second year in a row, Harmonie created a beautiful and very personal mini book for her boyfriend Freddy.  She used a small chipboard album and lots of distressing and embellisments that fit both of their personalities.  We all love the book and I know Freddy will love it too.  Everybody knows the best gifts are handmade.  Here are some of the pages from her book.  Its fine evidence that Valentines Day doesn’t have to be all pink hearts and red flowers too.

Valentines Crafting Supplies

We still have plenty of adorable Valentines Day items in our shop. I love the Xs and Os themed paper the most. I purchased one of the candy making kits and made chocolate lollipops on Monday. I have to say, they were delicious. I have already eaten them all and I bought them to use as gifts. Woops! Besides chocolate lollipops we have a kit to make your own candy necklaces as well as paper and embellishments to make something special for your someone special.

New York City Crafting: Personalized Handmade Cards

Handmade cards add the special touch. While we love letterpress and other fancy types of cards, there is nothing more interesting than handmade cards.

Many brides we know fall in love with luxury wedding stationery, only to find out it’s way out of their budget. Letterpress invitations can cost well over $10 per invite. That is not including the response card and supporting items that may be included.

New moms can also get amazing handmade announcements that have a different kind of wow factor.

I wanted to share some of the handmade collage cards I’ve created while working here! I am a collage artist and always happy to work with you to create personalized cards for any occasion, with or without photos. Our cards start at $8/card. For more info, email info@portraitbug.com!
