Happy Valentines Day! For the second year in a row, Harmonie created a beautiful and very personal mini book for her boyfriend Freddy. She used a small chipboard album and lots of distressing and embellisments that fit both of their personalities. We all love the book and I know Freddy will love it too. Everybody knows the best gifts are handmade. Here are some of the pages from her book. Its fine evidence that Valentines Day doesn’t have to be all pink hearts and red flowers too.

BIG NEWS. You know that feeling when you have totally finished a project that took you FOREVER. Well, my best friend turned 25 this weekend and for her birthday I asked 25 different people from her life to submit one birthday wish, and I complied them into a 25 wishes for your 25th birthday book. I wanted the wishes to be handwritten so I snail mailed the chosen people pieces of white cardstock in early October and just last week got all the wishes and photos in order. I have everyone from her friends now, to her grandparents, to her favorite high school french teacher to friends from camp. It was so much fun to watch her look at this because she had no idea who was coming next in the album.

I recommend doing a similar project like this around Thanksgiving when you can have each child write what they are thankful for, or even sooner for Valentines day and you could write one thing that you love about someone - or of course around someones birthday! It is just a really nice way to incorperate a lot of different people into one cohesive gift.

Id love to hear what you think! Please leave a comment

PS. All the supplies except for the chipboard album can be bought in the store! Let me know if there is a technque or an item you like and I can tell you what it is.

Have you been in to see our big sale yet? No table outside for the time being because of a little rain, but you’re not going to let a little rain stop you from coming inside the store to see the great deals, are you? One great thing marked down are all our alphabet sticker sets. I never seem to have enough letters in my scrapbooking stuff. Nothing sets off a layout better than a title that really pops in a font and color that bring the whole page together. I rely half the time on my own handwriting in bold tipped markers but I’m not even that crazy about my writing! This would be a great time for you and me to stock up on a ton of our Thickers brand alphabet stickers, all of which are MARKED DOWN!! I’m really loving the fairy tale themed puffy glitter sets. There’s also several glitter sets, some varsity letter jacket style alphabets and two absolutely fabulous polka dot alphabets. We also have some alphabet stamp sets and some great ink sets. And everything in the store is on sale. Come by this week!

Prima Marketing started to reveal some of their new products. I have had the pleasure to see their catalogue and I can tell you they have a lot of yummie goodies in their sleeves. Let me show you some of the things that are highlights to me so far.

Ringlets – seriously- what a fun and cute idea is this to cover up the book rings of your albums. I’m so in Love with this. And screenprinted cardboard !

Another highlight for me is Prima’s new Flirty Little Secret Paper Line and the Flirty Little Secret Notepads – which I can see used not only for romantic but also some funky projects!

A whole range of glittered papers also caught my eyes – I show you one example.

And if you are a fan of Prima’s Say it in Crystals Collection you might also fall in Love for their new Say it in Pearls Goodies.

At the bottom you will find the Fabric Galore – not only created PrimaDonna Donna Downey some amazing canvas tags for Prima no, Prima also came out with some wonderful burlap fabric which I can see on a lot of projects already!

And as Prima is well known for their sucessful line of all kinds of PrimaFlowers, of course they have some new lines- including these delicious Scribbles. Can you spy my absolute highlight in the last picture a wonderful layout by PrimaDonna Adrienne Looman? ….more in the left?
